I've been fighting this since 9pm or so, it is now 2am, I think I'm going to bed and read what tech support says in the morning (IF they even respond by then!!!). Ceph started this out a year ago (today) and had the best of intentions. In fact I never would have developed another site after I cancelled my Comcast account. I would have just dropped the whole thing but he helped me out and set me up and for that I thank him. Unfortunatly, when we made the website account transfer into my name, he didn't tell me about renewing the domain name. I thought it was all part of what I already transferred with the hosting company. I'm a noob, frag me. So the name expired and it remains locked for 45 days so that I can renew it. I have tried to renew it three times tonight and it isn't working. So, it is in tech support's hands now. I will update as things happen.
If tech support doesn't have anything for me, or if they don't refund 2 of the 3 charges, the only other option at that point would be registering another name like drummingbigbear.net or something. I'll know more in the morning. |

It has been 40 hours and the trouble ticket hasn't even been responded to yet! I will wait to see what happens when (IF) I ever get a response before I start blasting this company. I have been guilty on too many occasions of losing my temper before it was time. I always end up looking the fool. I am thinking of biting the bullet and changing the website to drummingbigbear.NET What do you all think? |

Ok, the new website is back up under <dot>NET instead of the <dot>COM. We are now www.DrummingBigBear.net It is limping along but it is still alive.
I updated the main "Menu" page, both Teresa and my "April" and "May" pages, the "Karen Update" and the "Music Quiz" pages. I will get a little more cleaned up tonight but I have a long drive ahead of me tomorrow night after work so I have to get some sleep tonight. I fully expect the site to be fully operational and cleaned by the end of the week. |
